Dr.Susil K.Sen
Ph.D, Prof. & HOD, Dept. of Chemistry
 
Dr Sen is a Professor and HOD in the Department of Chemistry . He was awarded UNESCO Fellowship to carry out research work in analytical Chemistry in the J. Heyrovsky Institute, Prague, Czechoslovakia in the year 1977-1978. He was also associated with Berlin Technical University during that time. His research area is “ Study of Metal Chelates of Transition Metals” He is an elected Member of Royal Chemical Society, London and also elected fellow of Indian Chemical Society.His teaching area is Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics, Colloids, Chemical Kinetics, Aromatic Organic Chemistry, etc. He has published 32 research papers in reputed international journals.

Sunil K. Ray
M.Sc., Ph.D (Cont.), Sr. Lecturer, Dept. of Chemistry
Mr. Ray has over 8 years of intensive teaching and grooming experience. He comes with a great deal of versatile qualities and excellent teaching philosophy towards holistic grooming. He is about to complete his Ph.D and is rated as one of the top Physical and inorganic chemistry faculty in the state.

Dr. Satrujit Mishra
Ph.D, Lecturer, Dept. of Physics
 
Dr Mishra is a Lecturer and HOD in the department of Physics. He has published a good number of research papers in national and international journals. His area of interest is Material Science, Solid State Physics, and Nuclear Physics. He has 7 years of teaching and research experience.

Somanath Das
M.Tech, Asst. Prof. Computer Science Engg.
 
Mr Das is an Asst. Prof in the department of Computer Science. He has 7 years of teaching experience in under graduate and post-graduate level. His area of interest is Cryptography and Pattern recognition. He taught a very wide range of subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Numerical and Statistical methods, Design and Analysis of algorithms, Computer graphics, C–programming lang., QT-I, QT-II., Theory of Automata, AI. He also developed a project named “EduAid” - An Educational Aid for data structure to simplify teaching in data structure.

Samit K. Ghosh
M.Tech, Asst. Prof. Electronics & Tele-com
 
Mr Samit Ghosh is an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication Engg. He has obtained his M.Tech from NIT Rourkela. He is having four years of teaching experience. His areas of interest are Electronics System, Embedded Systems, VLSI & Communications. He taught a very wide range of subjects like Basic Electronics, Digital Electronics, Electromagnetic Theory, Microwave Engg, VLSI Design, Embedded Systems in under-graduate level.

Biswa R. Dash
B.E, Lecturer Computer Science Engg.
 
Mr Biswa Ranjan Dash is a Lecturer in the department of Computer Science Engg. He has more than 2 years of teaching experience and 3 years of industry experience. His areas of interest are Programming Language, Data structure, DBMS, and Software Engg. Dash is involved with several student and professional club activities at BIT.

Himansu Bhusan Nanda
MSc., MPhil, BEd, Lecturer, Physics
 
Mr. Himanshu Bhusan Nanda is a Lecturer in the department of Physics. Mr. Nanda has completed his M.Phil from Berhampur University in Physics during 2010. He has about two years of research and five years of teaching experience. Mr. Nanda’s research interest is in high energy Physics and he is currently pursuing his PhD in that area. Mr. Nanda is a gifted teacher and well known for his classroom performance.

Susanta K. Jena
B.E, Lecturer, Mechanical

 
Mr Susant K Jena is a Lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engg. He has 10 years of industry experience prior to join at BIT in 2009. Mr. Jena has successfully completed Pump Development project that used a simple fuel injection system for a single cylinder four-stroke SI engine. Mr. Jena provides diligent services at BIT and involved in multiple activities that are student directed. Mr. Jena’s interest lies in fluid flow and fuel injection systems. He is pursuing his M.Tech in Mechanical Engg. while at BIT.

Ms. Ananya Roy
M.A,M.Phil(Cont.), Lecturer in English.
Ms.Ananya Roy is a lecturer in the Dept. of English. She is a Post Graduate Scholar from Utkal University and she is presently completing her M.Phil. Programme from Utkal with a specialization in British Literature. She is excellent in Verbal and Written Communication. Ms. Roy is a co-author of a portfolio titled Business Communication, which is handy for her students in the classroom. She has also designed English Communication lab at BIT along with her collegues.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar Tripathy
B.Tech(ECE),M.TECH(Cont.), Lecturer in ECE.
 

Mr. Rajesh K. Tripathy is a lecturer in Electronics & Communication Engineering. His areas of interest are Robotics, Embedded System and VLSI Design. He has developed PSoC lab sponsored by Cypress Semiconductor, USA. Mr. Tripathy is known for his student friendly attitude and enjoys teaching with 1 yrs of experience in GITA, BBSR. He teaches wide range of subjects like AEC, DEC, EMFW, DSP and communication papers.


Mr. Prafulla Chandra Das
Msc.(Math,Statistics), Lecturer in Mathematics.
Mr. Das is a Lecturer in Mathematics. He has over 7 years of experience in Academic field. His area of interest are Analysis(Real and Complex), Linear Algebra and Differential equation(Ordinary and Partial). As a teacher, Mr. Das is known for his patience to work with students at various levels.

Mr. Purna Chandra Routray
B.Tech(Mech), Lecturer in Mechanical Engg.


Mr. Purna Chandra Routray is a B.E in  Mechanical Engineering, graduated in 2005. Prior to his joining at BIT, he has one year teaching and two years of industry experiences. 

Mr. Routray's areas of interests are in CAD/CAM, Auto CAD, Engineering Drawing, and Thermal engineering etc. He takes interests in student activities very much.

 


Mr. Arun Kumar Prusty
M.Tech, Asst.Prof Dept. Of .Electronics & Tele-com


Mr Prusty is  Asst.Professor in the department of Electronics and Telecommunication. He has three years of teaching experience and more than three years of research experience.His area of interest is sensor technology specifically towards Bio and chemical sensors ,instrumentation and digital signal processing.

 


Mr. Krushna Prasad Pattnaik
M.Phil, Lecturer in Mathematics


Mr Pattnaik has completed his M.Phil in Mathematics from Utkal University. He has 10 yrs of teaching experience in different Colleges under BPUT. He has received WOOD BURN Award for obtaining highest percentage of marks in university level and received Gold Medal during his Graduation. He has a lot of interest in extracurricular activities.

 


Ms. Moumita Dey Roy
Post Graduate, Lecturer in Department of Communicative English


Ms. MoumitaDey Roy completed her postgraduate in English from Utkal University with the specialization in “professional writing”. She also has a Post Graduation Diploma in mass communication from IIMC Dhenkanal. Ms. Dey Roy has worked as a stringer in The Times of India. Prior to joining BIT she was a freelance faculty for US embassy’s Access English Program at KIIT. Ms. De Roy has excellent communication skills. She is well known as freelance writer in “The Times of India” and “New Indian express” where she publishes her articles frequently.

 


Dr. Jay  Prakash Das
PhD, Asst Professor in Department  of Chemistry


Mr. Jaya Prakash Das, born in 1976 in Cuttack, Orissa, received his PhD from the IIT, Kharagpur in 2006 under the supervision of Professor Sujit Roy. After a short postdoctoral stay in IISc, Bangalore with Professor Goverdhan Mehta, he moved to the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel for his next postdoctoral stay with Professor Ilan Marek, where he spent more than three years on the creation of all-carbon quaternary stereogenic centers in acyclic systems, which is currently a highly difficult and challenging task in synthetic organic chemistry. Before joining BIT he was a Schulich Postdoctoral Fellow in the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. He is interested in the design and development of new and efficient stereo- and enantioselective strategies for the synthesis of important complex molecular structures. 


Ms. Sonali Routray
M.Tech, Asst Professor in Department of Information and Technology


Ms. Routray has received her M.Tech degree in Computer Science from BPUT, Odisha. She has specialization in Compiler Construction, RDBMS, Advanced Architecture and Dist. OS. Her field of interest is Data Mining. She has 4 years of teaching and research experience. Ms. Routray organized several conferences and seminars at GIET Gunupur.  She has also guided several projects for MCA and B.Tech Students. Ms. Routray is one of the life members of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education).

 


Mr. Matru Prasad Dash
PhD Continuing, Lecturer in Physics


Mr. Dash is completing his PhD in Material Science from Ravenshaw University in 2010. He has three years of teaching experience. His Research activities are Fabrication of Multi –Walled Substituted conducting Polymer Composites, use of polymers like polyurethane and poly lactic acid. He has successfully completed the project on CNT: Structure, Properties and their application under NSTC, New Delhi. He has published his research papers in Orissa journal of Physics, Popular plastics and packaging. His area of interest is Nanotechnology. Mr. Dash is a life member of Environment Organization.

 


Mr. Trilochan Tarai
B.Tech(IT), M.Tech Continuing, Sr. lecturer in Computer Science


Mr. Tarai, Sr. Lecturer in Departmaent of Computer Science is continuing M.Tech from B.P.U.T. He has 5 years of teaching experiance and has deep interests in Database Engineering and OOPs Concepts.He has Published several books and papers on programming in 'C'. Mr. Tarai has also Guided several projects fro B. Tech Students and organized a number of workshops and seminars at Kaustav group of Institution. 

 


Mr. Sivkumar Mishra
M.Tech, Associate Professor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering


Mr. Mishra  is presently an Associate Professor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at BIT,obtained his B.E (Electrical Engg.) from Regional Engineering College,Jaipur (presently  known as N.I.T, Jaipur)  and M.Tech (Power System Engg.) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has over 12 years of teaching experience in G.H.ITM,Puri, where he has hold several important administrative responsibilities. He has published several papers in international, national journals. His research interests include power distribution system analysis and power system analysis. 

 


 Mr. SOUMYAKANTA SAMANTARAY
M.Tech, Asst. Professor in
Electrical & Electronics Engineering



Mr. S.K. Samantaray, Asst. prof. in EEE has a bright academic experience of 5 yr in both private(3yrs) & Govt.(2yrs in NIT Silchar) institutions, prior to joining BIT. He has compleated his M. Tech program from National Institute of Technology,Silchar(NITS), B.Tech from Silicon Institute of Technology(SIT) and Diploma from Nilachal Polytechnic.He has a keen interest in the area of Power and Energy System. Being a ISTE member, he has organized various intra and inter college student activities. Mr. Samantaray also has presented and published various papers in National and International level of seminars and workshops. According to him the performance of a sincere and obedient student reflects a lecturer's ambition.
